I promised to share the project I made with the leftover scraps from the September Take Ten quilt block, and here it is! A very fun, very functional drawstring bag!
The 3″ strips were perfect for sewing into a strip and then finishing into a drawstring bag. The boxed corners perfectly surround a strip all of its own too, which is a cool detail!
This is a quick project, and useful too. We love drawstring bags around here, they hold toy sets together and make good gift bags too.
With 42 leftover strips from a 10″ fabric stack, you can make 4 drawstring bags! Each bag also needs 1 FQ for lining and 60″ of drawstring or twill ribbon for the ties.
I wrote up a PDF tutorial so you can print it out as you follow along, which you can download by clicking the button below 🙂 I hope you enjoy it! Share the link with friends too.
This is such a great idea! I have a decent bit of not-quite-useful-lengths of fabric I need to use. Thanks for the free tutorial PDF
Such a fun idea! Thank you!
Thanks, love both patterns.
