I’m so pleased to introduce you via this virtual quilt market to my upcoming fabric line with Riley Blake Designs… Pure Delight!

The inspiration for Pure Delight came from my desire to surround my children with tools for positive thinking and good self-esteem. Especially in times like today, where moments of delight are harder to find, it is nice to be reminded that goodness can be found if we look for it!

Pure Delight has 21 prints, with florals large and small and plenty of great blenders… plus 2 project panels!

The first panel is a quilt panel with 12 fun blocks, 6 of which feature an uplifting, hand-lettered quote. You all know how much I love lettering, which made this fabric line so much fun to do!

I added two simple borders to the quilt panel to make a throw size quilt, but leaving the borders off makes a perfect baby quilt.

The second panel includes two types of projects. The first is drawstring bags, which are easy to assemble! The print contrast sections are already printed, so it’s a matter of sewing the exterior to lining, and inserting the drawstrings. I made strings with coordinating fabric, but standard drawstring would work too! I’ll have a full video tutorial of this when the fabric arrives this fall.

Since this is an easy project, it’s a great choice for beginners. Plus, since there are two bags on the panel, so you can keep one and gift one too!

The second project on the panel are hanging banners! I was really excited about this part of the line.

The instructions on the panel are for a basic banner, so I sewed up these with some extra trimming to demonstrate different ways to display the banners. I used pom pom trim, a handmade yarn tassel, and pre-packaged piping.

I love the multi-function of these banners! Not only are they cute decor, they are also great for hanging those trendy enamel pins!

The prints themselves are great for all sorts of projects… not only quilts, but small sewing projects too! I made an iPad case for myself…

Plus a Devon pouch for those art supplies we are always taking with us on outings!

The fun, feminine prints really make these projects stand out in a spunky, cheerful way. I had such a hard time narrowing down what I’d be making for the Pure Delight debut- I have a lot of ideas now! This ear bud holder definitely needed to be made ASAP, though!

There are so many projects that would be great for a sewing afternoon with the kiddos! My girls loved these scrunchies, and I had to collect them from all around the house just to take a photo to share 🙂

I even had a friend of mine sew up a blouse using the Grid print in dark blue- this print can be used in basically anything! My daughter got to model it a bit for you- perks of having a teenager 😉

I also wanted to try the fabric with a more complicated design, like the flowering snowball quilt block on a pillow. The prints still dazzled and delighted! There are a few low volume prints that are perfect for light backgrounds, just like on this pillow.

I designed the text print in Pure Delight with uplifting words like “friends”, “happy”, and “smile” to be visible on small cuts- and with deliberate cuts, they appear in a happy little line along quilt binding.

Here’s a sneak peek at the pattern that will debut along with the fabric line in November! Sunshine is available wholesale and as PDF copies.

If you want to have some of this for yourself, tell your local quilt shop! It is available for pre-order with Riley Blake Designs now.

I’m so glad I got to share my virtual quilt market booth with you! I hope it showed you how fun Pure Delight is, and that you already have ideas on how to use it in your own projects!
